GETTING YOU TO STAND OUT – Here is where we help you to create marketing messages that emphasise your transferability and suitability so that you stand out from the competition. We’ll work with you to build the necessary marketing materials including an impressive LinkedIn, capability profile and compelling CV; all designed to support your career search objective, demonstrate your skills and prove your capabilities. We will also take you through which routes to market to focus on in order to make the switch.

What makes a role attractive to you? – This second series of exercises will help you identify what you need and want from your career, including an optional Myers-Briggs assessment.
Creating a win:win proposition – The final part of the assessment work is a transferable skills analysis to identify those skills that you particularly enjoy using, use well and will want to use in your next move.
Building on the assessment work you will then explore different options. Your consultant will help you to evaluate these so you can identify the most appealing and viable one.

Your marketing materials will include a Career Search Objective, a Capability Profile, CV, and LinkedIn Profile, all integrated and designed to make you stand out from the crowd and a comprehensive set of application letters to address the four routes to market.
You will acquire techniques that will ensure that your responses to press and online advertised positions are more effective and how to access the informal/unadvertised market. You will gain additional insight into the way in which head-hunters and recruiters operate and make them keen to take you on.
You will develop effective networking techniques that will allow you to confidently extend your current network and develop new networks.

This programme, with the support of a consultant will provide you with the necessary preparation and techniques to enable you to successfully manage referral meetings, interviews, and salary negotiations.
You will develop the messages that you will need to deliver in a range of face-to-face situations including referral meetings, screening interviews, final interviews and offer meetings, thereby increasing your personal impact, credibility and fit.
Your consultant will help you prepare to perform well in interviews so that you can easily answer any awkward, sensitive, or challenging questions and have the confidence to ask questions and challenge back.
Having a deeper understanding of the referral meeting, the interview and salary negotiation together with the use of the additional tools and techniques that you will have developed, you will learn how to present yourself as the preferred candidate in a compelling and persuasive manner.

This programme, with the support of a consultant will provide you with the knowledge to prepare, launch and maintain a comprehensive career search campaign plan.
Throughout the programme our resource portal will be your online toolkit to help you move towards your goals. The resource centre is your personal portal where you will access programme content, keep in contact with your consultant and get access to your personal campaign planner.
Your plan will include clear goals, timescales, and key performance indicators. Progress will be regularly reviewed, and your campaign fine-tuned, if necessary.
Advice, feedback, and tactical input will be provided throughout your campaign. You will be able to discuss all aspects from tactics to motivation to job offers.
If you secure your new position and have remaining 1:1 sessions, your career consultant will be available as a sounding board in those early weeks to ensure you make an effective transition to your new role.
